The CE 6.0 tools can import a CE 5.0 ".cec" file (CE Catalog file) and will convert that to the new .pbcxml format - note that this only updates the CE 6.0 catalog with the BSP/component files - you still need to do the work (if needed) to convert the BSP to CE 6.0

Hello.
I have been trying to use a BSP that was created in PB 5.0 on a PC with
Visual Studio 2005 and Platform Builder 6.0. When I attempt to import the
BSP, I get a dialog box that tells me "This Microsoft Windows Installer
(.msi) file is attempting to run on a development workstation that does not
have a valid Platform Builder installation, or is configured for the
tools-only version of Platform Builder. To use this file, be sure Platform
Builder is installed and has a valid %_WINCEROOT%."
The version of PB is not tools-only. Isn't a BSP able to be set up in the
newer version of Platform Builder?
Thanks,
.
