Re: Unable to display korean fonts

Hi Henry,

In my Japanese build when i set the default language as "Japanese"
the language of the entire OS was changed to Japan. But we want the Japanese
Locale only for our appln.Similarly here we want the korean locale for our
appln alone.Thats why i have set the default language as English.

Anyway Henry thanks for the help.Ill try here.If you get any info on
this issue please let me know.

Hmm. Strange. What if you change default language to korean? Does it
work then?

Hi Henry,

I have added the Agfa Ac3 Font compression and in my registry settings the
fonts Tahoma,Times New Roman are properly mapped to the Gulim.Ac3.

Have you added "Agfa AC3 Font Compression" support for your image?

Hi Henry,

I made a clean build now.but still the korean fonts are not getting
displayed properly.I referred the following link for the registry
settings(ms-help://MS.WindowsCE.500/wcefonts5/html/wce50conFontRegistrySettingsforKorea.htm) and my platform has the same registry settings as given here.

So i dont know where is the problem.I still get a sequence of
squares.Im able to see the Gulim.ac3 file in my device.Previously i generated
a build with Japanese locale and it is working fine for me.I have built a
sample MFC application in Visual Studio 2005 with korean resource file and
ported the same to my device. But im not able to get the korean font.

Can you help me in this regard?

Have you checked the "localize the build" option in project settings?
What default language do you use? Have you done a "sysgen" with "clean
before building" option checked?
