Make a copy of the INF file and modify that. Then, when you plug in your
device with the modified VID/PID and the dialog box pops up asking for a
driver, point it to the file you modified. Does it work on W2K? I don't
know. Have you tried it?

Thanks for the fast reply ! I have questions about this procedure in
the case where only ActiveSync is installed.
Which wceusbsh.inf file should be modified, the one in the
\Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync\drivers or \Windows\Inf ?
Is a reboot needed and does this work on Windows 2000 ?

1. Change the VID & PID returned by you USB Client Driver. (See USB
Function
Client Driver Registry Settings in the help text.)
2. Modify the wceusbsh.inf file with your VID & PID using the comments in
that file as a guide.

Good morning, we have a custom Windows CE device and would like to add
ActiveSync support for this device using our Vendor Id.
it is working correctly using ActiveSync using Microsoft USB Vendor Id
but
want to use our Vendor Id and do it cleanly.
Thanking you in advance for any help,
Alexandre
