Basically the only thing you should have to do is to change the PID and
VID entries (VID_vvvv & PID_pppp) in the .inf file to match your
device's PID and VID.
For example, if you use CE5 "out of the box" settings, you should
change VID_vvvv and PID_pppp to VID_045E & PID_0301. (However, you
should never ship a device with these default settings since this PID
and VID belongs to MS. You need to register your own VID). Optionally,
if your device and company is not named "ACME", you should probably go
through the .inf file and change all "Acme" references to something
more suitable for your particualr device, but I suggest you leave the
cosmetics until you have a device up and running.
Now, if you got your device set up properly, you should just need to
attach the device to the desktop and when prompted for a RNDIS driver,
select your modified .inf file and voila, the device will show up as a
network adapter on your system.
