Uhm... but our application has no graphic interface.... well... it HAS
graphic interface only for debug purposes, but in order toactivate debug
functionalities i shall EDIT the config file.... loop! :-)

Any hint?
If everything you have to do is edit simple and short text files (ex:
configuration files) you may load the text file in a multi-edit text
control.
This will support selection, cut&paste and other minimal editing
features.
It will be not so difficult to add search and search and replace
capabilities.
