Re: WinCEPC Help: Setting static IP address for nk.bin image

Thanks Piet, for your sugestions.

I have tried to setup the static IP, at dial-up connections >
connection > properties and I am able to ping to the host. I am using
ethernet cross cable to connect the host and CEPC as I do not have DHCP
server.

Breif explanation on my setup:

I am using Win CE5.0 evaluation copy and trying with CEPC. I have
followed the instructions from MSDN to setup the CEPC and built the
image nk.bin. I have also added tghe RTL8139 device driver form the
catalog.

I have updated the static IP in the autoexec.bat which is in the same
subnet of my host PC.

Now, in target connectivity option, if I select 'ethernet' at
'download' and rest of the settings (transport and debugger) as none,
then the image downlaods properly and the CE start-up screen come-up.
Now, as I said, above, I can configure the static IP and able to ping
to host.

I have compiled this image with KITL support and I want to try debug my
image. So, in target connectivity option, if I select 'ethernet' at
'download' and 'transport' as 'ethernet' and 'debugger' as 'kdistub',
looks like the image is downloaded properly but it continousely prints
the following message,

0x23E3EA52: KITLSend(0): Timed out waiting for ack (AckExpected: 17,
TxSeq: 33)

Since, I am not having DHCP server, thought it may be failing in
getting IP address and host may not be able to acknowledge the KITL
request. Hence, I wanted to assign static IP addres.

If you have any thoughts on this issue, please share.

Thanks,
Cletus
