wceusbsh does support high-speed USB devices, but unfortunately it is not
optimized for the high bandwidth. You should see transfers going noticably
faster for a high-speed connection versus a full-speed connection (force it
into full-speed mode by plugging a full-speed hub between the device and the
host). The transfers wll definitely not be close to 40x faster as the 12
mbps to 480 mbps theoretical throughput specs would imply.
