It's a PCMCIA hardware interface. When I map an inserted card and select the
proper configuration I can access a set of ATA controller registers, but
that is rather software than hardware.

So it's the CF driver, I know for sure that I don't want to use True IDE or
rather can't, as it requires different wiring.
