Ah they get compressed. I see now. I think your second suggestion as to why
the 5MB wouldn't fit sounds more plausible. It was a text file and i simply
reduced it'size by deleting some text. Once it reached 4.8MB, it was able to
fit in memory. So it was compressable. Thanks for the help.
