Activesync + usb client + ethernet

Hi-
In bringing up a PXA270-based platform with CE 5.0, I've run into a
minor problem with Activesync over USB Function and over Ethernet.
When I plug in the USB client cable to my PC, Activesync starts up
fine. However, when I go to use one of the tool items over ActiveSync
in EVC or PB, the connection never seems to be established. However,
if I unplug the ethernet cable and let it go, the connection works
fine.
I believe this problem is related to a higher-precedence for the
ethernet adapter for TCP connections than the USB client adapter. I
would prefer to have it default to using the USB client network
interface for all of these tools so that unplugging the ethernet cable
is not necessary.
Is there a way to do this in my CE image such that it uses the USB
network interface for all activesync traffic rather than ethernet? I'd
most prefer a registry modification to make this happen, but am
interested in what may be possible.
Thanks
Dave
