I had the same problem a couple of months ago; after trying various methods
one of which actually built the SDK but left out some MFC files I decided to
rename my current platform to .OLD (platform.OLD) and then recreate the
platform from scratch. The files which I changed I just copied from the
.OLD folders.

Depending on how large your platform is it should take no longer than a day.
Once completed the SDK will build without any problems.

My problem occured after adding several catalogue items rather quickly one
after the other without waiting for the output window to finish adding the
previous item. I think this is where PB5 gets a bit screwed :(
