I have tryed to install the Platform Builder 5.0 on a Windows 2000 Server in
Remote Administration mode: the OS is ugraded to SP4 and with the last patch
available at today.
On this computer is already installed the Platform Builder 4.1 and the eVC
4.0, that run without problems.
When I try to start the installation, an error message appear:
Microsoft Windows CE 5.0 Installer Information.
Setup requires either Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 or
Windows XP Service Pack 1 to be installed. To install
the appropriate service pack, plaese go to
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=30402. Setup
will now exit.
I have try to run again the SP4, but nothing is changed.
The same error is present on:
- another disk of the same computer (a clone of the original disk) on which
I have installed and after removed the demo version of Platform Builder 5.0
(that run without problem).
- on a Windows XP not SP1 (it's right)
This message doesn't appear:
- On a test computer (XP-Pro SP2 without PB 4.1) where I have tryed only the
install procedure.
- On a test computer (XP-Pro SP2 with PB 4.1 and eVC) where I have tryed
only the install procedure.
Please I need to know:
1. How I can to install the PB 5.0 on a W2000 server.
2. If I can use the PB 5.0 and PB 4.1 on the same computer without problems
(I have found something with demo version...).
Thankyou
MP
