How can I make use of the HD in the CEPC for file and registry storage

How can I use the HD in the CEPC for file/data and registry storage. The
CEPC I target has no backup battery and would normally be switched off when
not in use.

Platform: CE builder 5.0
Target: CEPC (based on VIA x86 CPU, PLE133 chipset)
