You can try to port power management from
Intel's BBU (Bord Pring Up) and POST (Power-On Self-Test)
packages. Mainstone BSP (as well as PXA27X CSP) are
based on the BBU & POST sources :(
I'm absolutely agree with You. Add was sweet

As I can see, million coders are doing the same
things and spend a lot of time for this ... :(
