I'm not sure pcmcia is the problem, you can build an image without
pcmcia support to make sure.
If it's the pcmcia driver, you should be able to isolate the error
pretty easily. I think power down starts in "PcmciaPowerOff" in the
mdd, from then on you can follow the path.
Maybe you just have to power down the card before suspending.
