Adam,

I have removed the atadisk.dll from the platform and checked the pccard
stack is v5.00
unfortunately the storage card in the CF slot is not recognised and the
storage card in the pcmcia slot has a dialog box appear stating unidentified
pccard adapter enter the name of a driver for this pccard (or something to
that effect). If I use atapi.dll or pcmcia.dll etc the dialog goes away but
no debug messages are prominent except that the relevant dll has been
attached and then detached.

I would be grateful if you could check my pccard stack to make sure that I
am using the version 5.00 specifics (although I only have PB:v5.00
installed):

pccard :
    tipccard :
        tipccard, tipccard_16, tipccard_32,tipccard_both, cardserv

storage devices:
    storage devices:

file systems and data store:
    compression:
    database support:
    storage manager:
        fat file system:
        partition driver:
        storage manager control panel applet:
    system password:

I have also noticed in the common.reg the following keys + variables:
    [HKEYLOCAL_MACHINE\DRIVERS\PCCARD\PCMCIA\TEMPLATE\ATADISKA]
    [HKEYLOCAL_MACHINE\DRIVERS\PCCARD\PCMCIA\TEMPLATE\ATADISKA\Device0]
    [HKEYLOCAL_MACHINE\DRIVERS\PCCARD\PCMCIA\TEMPLATE\ATADISKB]
    [HKEYLOCAL_MACHINE\DRIVERS\PCCARD\PCMCIA\TEMPLATE\ATADISKB\Device0]
however once the platform is running these entries are not evident in the
registry (Windows CE Remote Registry Editor used). Are these atadisk.dll
specific and if so how do I get atapi.dll to recognize thse regsitry
entries?

i use the following environment variables :
    BSP_NIC_PCX500_PCMCIA=1
    BSP_PCCARD_TIPCCARD=1
    SYSGEN_ATAPI=1
    SYSGEN_ATAPI_PCMCIA=1
    SYSGEN_DEVICE=1

any ideas?

Regards...

P.
