Note this process tends to work faster, if the NAND manufactor has already make provisions for this. For example, M-Systems provides a copy chip function, that does a non-binary copy, it copys the format and the data, while managing the pysical block differences.
DataIO http://www.data-io.com/ makes makes programmers, that can handle Nand Flash Programing, they may already have the correct algorithms set up on their programers for this. If not, they could work with you.
