Yes, you can but you won't have the device manager, or GWES either as they
both require the registry. Back in the 2.0x days there was a sample
configuration that replaced FileSys.exe with a custom application. This can
be done but kind of defeats the purpose of having Windows CE (or any OS) in
the first place. You may be better served with a multithreading library and
a ROM link and locator.
