You need to pick Telnet Server in the catalogue and do a sysgen.
For registry settings in to enable it and in case you don't want to be
prompt for password:http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa927075.aspx

Hi
I am trying to use telnet server on win ce 6. I have included it into
OS image ( I have telnetd.dll on my device)
but in Registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\COMM\ I dont have TELNETD.
When I look under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services I have TELNETD.
I want to add it manually but I dont know what keys and values should
I add.
When I try to run "services list" from device CMD I have "Operation
failed. Error code 0x00000426".
Needless to say that I cannot connect to my device from Win XP.
When I try to to so by using telnet MY_DEVICE_IP I have "Could not
open connection to the host, port 23: Connect failed".
Where is my mistake? What I am missing?
Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Shai
I actually did it. I have chosen Telnet server in the catgalgue and I
did Clean Sysgen.
But services are not running at all on the device.
Maybe thats because in win ce 6 services are integrated into kernel
and there is some other way to use them?
I have searched a lot but I didnt found anything similar to my
problem.
Thanks
.
