Re: file and settings transfer 'cannot complete the transfer'

Clear now, but wrong newsgroup. You are posting in a newsgroup that is focused on Windows CE. You may have better luck posting in a newsgroup focused on XP.

Good luck,

Like the subject says, "File and Settings Transfer'.
OS = Windows XP.
I did a transfer to an external drive and after reformatting and reinstalling the OS cannot retreive backed-up data successfully.
The File&Settings Transfer runs for 5 minutes then ends with error messages I've mentioned in my original message.
My problem clear??

What are you talking about? What transfer? What device? What OS?

Transfer runs for 5 minutes (so ‘I believe’ I have compatible versions) and ends with following error messages:

“cannot complete the transfer

“An error occurred while the wizard was loading your data.

“The wizard cannot create the data needed to save your settings. Make sure you have enough disk space available.

Drive with data has 50 GB free (plus 20GB+\- in img files).
Destination drive has 60 GB free.
USMT2 Folder has the following:
1 Img A file *.dat
9 img(1-9) files *.dat
1 Status file no extension.

Any Thoughts?
Thanks- J
