Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

You built this device or someone else built it? You can modify the Start
menu to the extent of adding links to it in the way you've tried already;
that's all you can do without rebuilding the operating system.

I got a device with Windows CE 4.2. It doesn't have a start menu. When I
click the windows Button on the bar, a very very small start menu is
opened
but is empty.
I tried to add link file in the /windows/program directory, but it doesn't
appear in the menu.

Is it possible to modify the menu without creating a new wince image?
