Re: FTP Server

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

IP configuration is DHCP and verified. I'm able to perform other TCP/IP data
transfers. I tested the ftp communications from another computer on the
network (the same one using Platform Builder to edit the OS build). I can
ping the CE target from the network computer. I can perform TCP/IP data
transfers to and from the CE target and the network computer. The network
computer firewall has an exception for port 21.

When i try to connect from the Windows Explorer FTP connection,
ftp://10.0.0.28/Temp/, i get the following dialog.

FTP Folder Error
Windows cannot access this folder. Make sure you tuyped the file name
correctly and that you have premission to access the folder.
Details:
The connection with the server was reset.

"Can't get it to work" is a bit short. What do you see? What did you
try? How did you setup the FTP registry settings?

If you just want the FTP server, you don't need the "File Server"
components, but you do need to configure the FTP server:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa922316.aspx

Also, if you have the firewall component included you have to open up
port 21 to allow access to the FTP server.

I can not get the FTP server to work. I included the FTP server, File

Win CE
5.0 ARM processor. Development system is Win XP pro.
