Re: Platform Builder freezes when building

Windows Vista is not a supported OS for Platform Builder. So it may or may
not work well on Vista.

You don't supply much information for us to assist you. Don't expect the
build process to be quick, and do expect that it will look like it isn't
doing anything for minutes at a time.

How long did it "freeze" before you decided that it was a problem?
What was displayed in the build output at the time, or the end of build.log?
Do you have administrative rights?
Do you have an anti virus app monitoring for changes in the build tree? -
that would be bad.

I would order the CE 6.0 evaluation CD, just a few US dollars.

Hello,

Today I've been busy with trying to create a win CE 5.0 platform with the
Platform Builder. I've read a lot of tutorials and it seems like I'm doing
the right thing.
When I try to Build the OS the program freezes and says it's not
responding.
I'm running Windows Vista Business so maybe this is the problem? I also
tried to download the CE6, but when I'm half way the installation progress
he
gives an error about a .tmp-file that cannot be downloaded. I really hope
someone can help me with this problem.
