Re: Windows CE on a PC104 Proc Single BD PC

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Then you'll have to talk to them about what's possible and what's not (or
why it's not working right). Windows CE is not a monolithic operating
system where the stuff on disk is pretty much the same from one PC to
another. It's built for the specific hardware that you have, by the people
that know it, and is customized for that hardware *only*. The only way to
debug a 'won't boot' problem is to capture information about what's going on
during the boot process and, if you can't get a DEBUG build of the OS, there
may be no way to do that. In any case, though, all of the options for
figuring out what's happening and what to do about it are specific to the
particular OS build that you have there.

The question was how to run with out a mouse. I am not able to rebuild the
nk.bin file as it was provided by the manufactures of the PC104 card.

Thanks

Is there a question here? Build a DEBUG build of the OS and read the

Hi

I have an application that runs on Windows CE and used to run off a
Compact
Flash card. This died after a period of time, so we migrated the OS and
application to a laptop hard disk.

Now it boots ok and then hangs. The Icons apear, flash away and that's
it
for about 15mins. It sort of comes alive but really is not operational.

This will fix it's self if I pug a mouse in. It all works OK. Problem
is
the
mouse pointer shows up on the application. If we go back to the Win CE
4
on
the compact flash card. It all works with out the mouse.

Tried turning of interupts at bios level.

Thanks for reading.
