BIOS? Huh? Even if you are using an x86-based device, BIOS has nothing to
do with handling of interrupts for CE, other than, maybe being responsible
for assigning PCI interrupts. If you're talking about built-in motherboard
serial ports, you're completely off-track. I have already given you my
suggestions. As far as we can tell from your message, you haven't done
anything...

Hi Mr.Paul
I have checked out the ISR in BIOS and with SysIntr registry by
changing the INTR values. But i cannot get any answers. There is some other
problems in DEBUGing the image with my PC. Is there any possible way to
trace
out this problem?
Thanks

Run a DEBUG build of the OS and connect the kernel debugger to Platform
Builder. Debugging hangs is, of course, one of the hardest things to do.
Since it affects the keyboard and mouse, though, you could trace what
happens in the 8042 driver for each of those and see if something appears
to
be wrong. I still think that the interrupt processing sounds like the
culprit. You know that the ISR is probably in your OEM adaptation layer,
right? You've verified that it is being handled right?

Thanks Mr. Paul,
I have checked the interrupt set to mouse and all registry
settings. I tried with another image (belongs to WinCE 5.0 )with same
registry settings (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Hardware\Devicemap\mouse ) on the
same
board. It works without any problem(Without any changes in BIOS
settings).
Is
there any other ways to trace out this problem. If i need to configure
any
other registries,specify the registry paths.
Thanks
Smith

Sounds like the mouse interrupt is set up wrong. You have to
configure
the
registry to match your hardware; simply adding the right driver is
never
enough.

Hi all,
I am working in winCE 6.0. While working in a image with PS/2
Keyboard and PS/2 mouse connected thin client , both the keyboard
and
mouse
get hang immediately after moving the mouse. But Keyboard work
correctly,
till the first move of mouse. I have tried to get the DEBUG details
from
serial port, but there is no response from there.
The OSDesign i am using has the following configurations.
1. WinCE 6.0 with updates upto Quarter 02, 2007.
2. BSP - VIA CLE266/CN400/CN700 CEPC:X86
3. OSDesign Template Thin client\Windows Thin client with
default
catalog items.
4. VIA CLE266 based C7 board.
The catalog item in this project added for mouse is 8042
Keyboard/Mouse English.(in default).
I have not changed any of files in PUBLIC directory tree. But the
same
image
is working with VIA CLE266 based C3 board. I think there may be no
problem
in BIOS and Board.
Hope you have the best suggestions,
Thanks in advance
smith
