Performance issue with filesys.exe

Hi

I am working with PXA270,WINCE 5.0 , Mainstone ii BSP.

I have implemented flash file system with Intel strata NOR Flash.

In oS Catalog items I have included following components in file
system and data store

HIVE based registrty
ROM Only file system
Storage Manager
SYSTem Password
DataBase Support
BitBased
Compression

Everything is working fine. At times, fmd_EraseBlock function is
called automatically.. its not consistent..
Once if these debug statements were visible in debug port, the
performance of the system goes down,

And from remote performance monitor i came to know that most of the
CPU executiuon time is occupied by filesys.exe (90% approx)..

What might be the problem this performance issue.. is there any
solution for this??
