Public is typically not dangerous, however it's still a bad idea for a
number of reasons. Don't do it...

as far as i know build and sysgen for the public branch of the WINCE500
directory is not dangerous, but the private one because we don't have all
code of it.

You should never need to do that and I'm afraid that you've probably
damaged
your installation. You can do a search on Build and Sysgen in the
archives
of the Platform Builder newsgroup to see why this is a really bad idea.
I
wouldn't assume that you're done, yet...

Paul,
I found after using "build an sysgen" to rebuild public directory, it
will
fix the compiling problem.
"IMGSDBUS2 = 1" does not need to be set.
Thanks for your help.

I'm sure that it wants you to set that variable. How you do that will
depend on how you build the OS, but you should know about this sort of
thing
if that's what your job is. You might choose Platform | Settings |
Environment and add it there in Platform Builder...

Hi,
After install the Windows CE 5.0 monthly update 2007/04, I have the
following compiling error. It seems to be related to the new sd
driver
2.0.
Question:
1. How can I get the code compiled? I need to build an image for my
customer
ASAP.
2. How can I use old sd driver 1.1?
3. How can I use new sd 2.0 driver?
The release notes "To enable SD Bus2 set IMGSDBUS2 = 1." is unclear
to
me.
Thanks.
