Hmm, the settings seem OK to me. Just to be absolutely double sure, you
have ethernet connectivity on the device when running from CF (you can
ping etc.)? The reason I ask is because when KITL is enabled the device
uses KITL to tunnel ehternet frames. When disabling KITL you need to
enable a "user mode" ethernet driver or you won't have any ethernet
connectivity.

Hi Henrik,
The image is a little different. All the options under
Platform/setting/Build Options are unchecked in Platfrom builder which is
what I understand is necessary from the documentation in order to build an OS
which will boot from flash. The image I boot from platfrom builder has the
sencond, third, fifth sixth, and seventh options checked in
Platform/settings/Build Options.

OK. I was going to ask you to confirm you have a fully working network
connection up and running when you boot from flash, but since you say
you run the remote process viewer I guess you have, right?
Is the CF image any different from the image you load from PB
(debug/retail, other components etc.).

Hi Henrik
I am pretty sure that the versions of CMAccep.exe and ConmanClient2.exe are
a match to the x86 processor architecture. Since these files run if I load
my OS image over ethernet. They just don't seem to work when I boot my image
from a Compact Flash and run them from the command prompt.

First of all, make sure the versions of CMAccept.exe and
ConmanClient2.exe you have in your shared directory actually match your
processor architecture (x86?). Also, make sure your image include all
OS dependencies for .net cf 2, and finally, conmanclient2 should be up
and running before you launch cmaccept.

Hi Chris,
Basically I just click on those exes that I have in my shared directory
using Windows Explorer on my Window CE 5.0 device. Or I type the name or the
executable at the command prompt. I use Platform Builders Remote process
viewer and the exes are not showing up as processes.

Hi
I have a Mini ITX mother board that I am using to boot Windows CE 5.0 from
a
compact flash. I would like to use Visual Studio 2005 debugger. When I
try
and run CMAccept.exe and ConmanClient2.exe they won't run. Is there a
reason
for this or another way without having to use Platform Builder to load the
operating system? Anyones help here would be greatly appreciated.
