problem with active sync

hi all,

i have problems with active sync.can u pls help me in these issues ?

1. when we attach our device with desktop thoriugh serial cable,
normally "repllog.exe" should automatically start and connection
should automatically be set up, if i m not wrong. but it is not
happening.

2.and when i manually start repllog.exe after creating new connection
and selecting that connecttion for communication (baud rate 19200),
then one box pops up showing:

my connection status

connecting to host
hide this message : hide
cancel connection: cancel

and on desktop green circle keeps on rotating.

In short i am not able to establish connection between desktop and my
device. i m using WinCE 5.0 on my device. And pls help me in resolving
this issue.
