We'd have to know what the image is that they're passing to the device to
modify it. If it's just a copy of the nk.bin file which is the ROM image
for the OS, you should be able to copy that to any device and get the same
result. You'd never extract an OS image from the device. You'll have to
repeat whatever process they've given you for reimaging one device on all of
the devices.

Recently my school district was given a bunch of Xybernaut Atigo M's that
had
been surplussed. These units have Intel pxa255 processors @ 400 mhz, 64
mb
ROM, and 128 mb RAM. They are running Windows.net (CE 4.2). The
processors
are not supported on WindowsCE 5.0.
The OS had been preconfigured for the client, and a lot of features had
been
either changed, restricted, or removed. Xybernaut was good enough to send
us
a "fresh" image, which we could load on the computer using a flash drive.
We
could then add and subtract a few features, and generally make the units
more
suitable for us.
My question is: once we get a particular unit the way we want it, how can
I
get an image from the unit, and then clone it to other identical units?
Is
there a utility to do this? I can't seem to find a way to do this in the
OS.
What would be ideal would be a way to do it through Novell Zenworks
Imaging,
or Norton Ghost. Anyone know a way to do this?
