Re: Can I delete a run time image?

You can delete the entire _FLATRELEASEDIR folder, which is where the
"assembly" of the image takes place. To dtermine exactly where it is, use
the Build OS -> Open Release Dir menu item. That puts you in the folder.
You can also type SET _FLATRELEASEDIR in that folder and it will tell you
the full path to it.

PS> It's likely to be C:\WINCE500\PBWORKPACES\MyOSDesign\RelDir\Release, but
you'll learn more finding it manually. If fact in the build console
window, type just SET to see all your environment variables, many of which
PB sets and uses during the build process.

Hello,

I am a newbie in embeded systems, and I am sure most of you recognize me
from the lenghty post "Some broad questions". However, I have taken up
your
suggestions about what I need to do as a starting point.

Right now, I am reading the tutorial files in platform builder.

So far I have ran tutorial 1,2 and 3.

So I have done:

Tutorial #1: Creating a Custom OS Design for the Emulator
Tutorial #2: Building the Custom Run-Time Image for the Emulator
Tutorial #3: Setting Up a Connection to the Emulator and Downloading the
Run-Time Image

But I would like to re-start steps 1 to 3, beacuse I would like to take my
time and read the screens a little more carefully this time around.

But, what happens to the image I created. I know its on my hard drive! and
it is situated at C:\WINCE500\PBWORKPACES\MyOSDesign. There are several
files
under this subdirectory. Oh yeah and there is one other file called
"MyOSDesign.bif" however this one is under a different sudirectory,
namely:

C\WINCE500\PLATFORM\EMULATOR

My question is, if I would like to delete the image I created by doing the
tutorials 1 to 3, can I just delete the MyOSDesign subdirectory.

I don't know if this will cause problems?

I tried to look for some "delete OS" option in platform builder, but
nothing
is available!

All suggestions are sincerely appreciated.

Robert
