I think it's actually "Software Development Kit". (Maybe I'm overly
sensitive about the word "standard" because of discussions about the
"standard SDK".)

your system you use to develop applications. The difference with Win32 is
that for wince, the SDK content varies depending on what you have into
your
wince image, considering that Wince is a componentizable OS

I do try to avoid adding extra terms, but I think SDK is more easily
understood along with "platform", because each SDK is aimed at a
specific platform. A platform (at least in the Windows CE context) is
a combination of base operating system, tweaks to that operating
system, built-in applications, and hardware. Microsoft defines several
platforms (e.g., Pocket PC) and provides an SDK for each of them.
Microsoft has also provided several compilers (eVC 3, eVC 4, VS 2005)
that work with these SDKs. Any company providing their own platform
must supply an SDK for it, if they want other programmers to target
their platform. Each SDK is meant to work with one of the Microsoft
compilers. So folks generally choose a platform, get the SDK for it,
and then make sure they have the compiler that works with that SDK.

Q3 : BSP stands for Board Support Package. It is basically a complete set
of
drivers and configuration files allowing windows CE running on a specific
electronic board

Q4 : SV are generally providing the BSP for their board, allowing you
generating Windows CE image that run on the board, using PB

Q5 : That's a big stuff... Probably the best thing to start with is a
training allowing you understanding what is WinCe, what are the
capabilities, and how to deal with them
