Re: No prompt for Save destination in IE



Make sure that you're downloading the same file from the same source through
the same sort of proxy or whatever scheme for getting to the Internet.
Other than that, I've never seen this variation...

Well, I've looked just about everywhere else and this thread seems at
least
close to a problem we're having.

We have two users who, when downloading a file, do not receive a prompt to
select a destination. Instead, IE downloads the file into the temp folder
in
their Documents and Settings > UserName > etc. folder.

I've checked with one of the users and confirmed that we have exactly the
same version of IE (having down the same updates), but the problem doesn't
occur on my system. I have also looked at all the settings for Internet
Options under the Tools menu and can't find one the would turn the
destination prompt on or off.

Suggestions? Thoughts? Thanks very much.
