Access PC's Local Web Service within Emulator

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

I am developing a mobile application which accesses web services.

I am using an emulator on the desktop of my pc. When i deploy an application
in the emulator it works fine, but it displays a message
"Unable to connect to remote server".

How do i access my local webserver through the emulator.

I could only access my com and parallel port of the pc through emulator and
not any other resource.

Please let me know the detailed procedure, as i have to show this at IMAGINE
CUP 2005 ZONAL FINALS and WINDOWS EMBEDDED STUDENT CHALLENGE.

We dont have any devices we have to work with emulators only.

Please reply asap.
