    Yes, I agree with James.

    The small developers are driving the handheld market and without a
    reasonably priced tool to develop for the next-generation devices, the
    pocket pc market will undoubtedly suffer.

    Hey, I'm not against paying for development software that I need, but paying
    for an entire Visual Studio .NET xx when all I need is a tool to develop
    Smart Device Application is a bit over the top. Amazon.com has Microsoft
    Visual Studio .NET 2003 Professional for $709.99. Going from Free to $710
    is a bit much to ask.

    It is that difficult to build-in evb runtimes into the next-generation
    devices? I mean Windows XP still has a DOS shell and DOS was so 80's.
