Re: SDK import

Better? Sure. But often OEMs are slow to respond, and sometimes an OEM simply won't do it (if you're using an off-the-shelf product for example). I lean toward providing the tool. If I give someone a hammer and insstead of hitting the nail, they hit themselves, well then that's their fault, not mine.

While that would be handy, wouldn't that it be better for the OEM to provide the needed functionality? I've thought about it also, but I don't want to own the responsibility when the driver is used incorrectly by a devious app writter.

Correct, CE 6.0 closes the hole that the PhysicalAddressPointer class uses to get at hardware. I've been wanting to create a simple driver that provides the same access, but simply haven't had the time.

Hi ,
I am trying to access GPIOs over winCE6.0, using VC#. I used
PhysicalAddressPointer class to do the same from winCE5.0, but it is throwing
exception in winCE6.0. Is there any way that I can do the same in winCE6.0.

Yes, you can use your CE 6.0 SDK, though for managed code it's completely
unnecessary. You can just use the built-in "Windows CE" target.
