Re: VS2005 refuses to create a CE C# project

I have all the service packs installd as far as I know.
I've had IE7 since it came out, but I'll check out your link, thanks.

Ah. I have them both installed so, generally, it's not a problem. You
'simply' installed VS2008 Pro? What about the service pack? Service Packs
for VS2005?

If you recently installed IE7, you might check this:

Paul,
It worked fine until I installed VS2008 on my machine.
VS2005 is the Pro version.

Did it used to work? Did you install Smart Device support when you
installed Visual Studio? What SKU of Visual Studio are we talking about?
Pro?

Hi,
When I want to start a new project for my CE 6.0 device VS2005 pops up
this
error dialog. I pick a project type of Visual C#.. Smart Device
Framework..
Windows CE 5.0 which is defined as "A project for creating a Smart
Device
Framework 2.2 Windows Fors application for Windows CE 5.0 and later"

The project file 'C:\Documents and Settings\briank\Local
Settings\Temp\kpaishca.tbe\Temp\DeviceApplication2.csproj' cannot be
opened.

The project type is not supported by this installation.

I told VS2005 to create the project in, for example, folder
C:\MyProjectC#.

Can anybody tell me what the problem here is?
Thanks,
Brian
