How would we know what sort of device you need? That's entirely dependent
upon where and how the device will be used. The ability to read files,
write files, and do network I/O (assuming that you choose a device that
*has* some means of connecting to a network), is built into every Windows
Mobile-based device and, I would guess, most of the Windows CE-based
devices.

hello
i need to write a small inventory application
for run on a portable device
i need to read a file (or download data) thru a wire or wireless
launch the application, check the inventory
and then write a file (or upload data) thru a wire or wireless
The QUESTION is :
what kind of device i need (pocket, pda, handheld...) ?
we prefer the cheaper device that meet the requirements
because we need to buy near 10 devices
thanks
