I doubt that anyone has MAPI, unless they are a Pocket PC or Smart Phone
device... That was the point of Michael's post.
How SMS works is going to depend on what software comes with the GPRS card.
There might be a simple API that is specific to that card that you'd use
(that's what I'd expect). If, by "communicate with the desktopPC through
USB", you mean you want to use ActiveSync, the device vendor has to have
ActiveSync support for USB, yes.

If I want to choose a WINCE-based device, to send SMS through CF card
GPRS/GSM Modem, and to communicate with desktopPC through USB,
WHICH COMPONENT SHOULD THE WINCE OS CONTAINS ?
Will I just need to ask the manufacturer: Hey, does your product have
MAPI ? what about support of ActiveSyn ? Or otherthing like this ?
