Re: GetAdaptersInfo() during ActiveSync session

Huh? You're going to 'debug' your network connection? It's not connected
to the network? I don't see how debugging something is going to help with
that. That's an operating system function. TDS might be able to learn
something from the kernel debugger about why you aren't able to establish a
connection, but what code are you going to debug?

Thanks Paul,

It still not clear how to use the USB after manually configuring
connection?
As I understand, the device to use is Virtual Adapter. I can configure
its IP address;
but how to specify that connection will be RS232 or USB? Provided link
helps to configure
debugging over network, but what I need is to debug my WiFi
communications. I tried to install
second network adapter (Socketcom P500), but my Unit immediately shuts off
the built in one.

No, I'd say that it's an intentional disable of the WiFi adapter while
ActiveSync is connected. I suppose that you could trying reenabling the
adapter, but you're going against the current. Use a non-ActiveSync
connection to do your debugging. I don't know anything about the
specific device, but if it's a WM5 device, this link will tell you what
to do:

I am using TDS RECON-X device with WinCE 5.0 (mobile) with built in
Marvel CF8385N WiFi adapter. GetAdaptersInfo() call returns proper list
of adapters as long as PDA is disconnected from USB ActiveSync. As soon
as PDA is connected, GetAdaptersInfo() returns only one entry for RNDIS
(related to ActiveSync connection?). WiFi card info is lost and WiFi
communications are disabled.

Is this a problem of RECON-X device? If not, what is solution for
debugging of WiFi communication based applications?

Thanks,

Leo
