There certainly are many control systems with hard real-time requirements
using Windows CE. Although most are not so bold as you to broadcast their
plans in a public forum! I almost envy you as the industry you are in is
one that is near and dear to me, I actually used to work for a touring sound
company doing outdoor concerts "many moons ago"

What networking physical layer were you using? (Ethernet is inherently
nondeterministic)
