Before I do this, let me explain that this is how I got here.
This computer is 4+ yrs old. I was having many problems, which looked to be
software, so I decided to reinstall Windows XP. I did this from my disc, and
also from a SP3 disc.
Before this, the software would down load updates as it often did.
After reloading, I now keep getting the message that none are available
after it downloaded one update, KB958644 on 11/22/2009
From past experience, it seems that there should have been many more updatesto download that were issued after SP3.
I am hesitant to reload XP after having just done so.

I recently re-loaded my XP SP3 and activated it through the microsoft
process.
The original cd was 4 1/2 yrs old so I know that many critical updates are
needed. However, everytime I check windows update, it reports that no
critical updates are available for my computer.
Does anyone know what the problem must be???
