The vast majority of updates from both the October and November
monthly update cycles are not being installed on one of my Windows
2003 servers. I don't find any relevant entries in the event logs and
the "review your update history" on the update web site shows them as
being cancelled. I have scanned for viruses using a couple of
different anti-virus scanners with nothing found.
I suggest you start by downloading the affected updates from the Microsoft Download Center and installing them manually. They may just work if you do it this way, but if not, at least you'll get an error message which may be useful.
If the manual installation works, but you wind up having the same problem again in December, let us know.

Any ideas why the updates did not take? What else to check? How to
get them to install?
Thanks,
