Something with your computer.

Don't know if it is a laptop or desktop, who made it, what operating system
is installed on it, what service pack that operating system is patched up
to, which specific updates you installed, if you have the latest drivers
from the makers of each hardware component (in particular - the video device
and motherboard chipset) or what - if anything - you have tried to do to
remedy the situation.

Please provide some details.

- Operating System?
- Latest service pack installed on said operating system?
- List of updates you recently installed?
- Do you know how and if so, have you checked for the latest hardware device
drivers/software from the hardware manufacturer's web sites?
- Have you performed any steps in order to try and fix the problem - if so -
what?

Maybe try this:

Turn off automatic updates, uninstall the updates recently installed through
Control Panel --> Add or Remove Programs, rebooting and then doing a system
restore to a date/time right before you installed said updates originally
(erasing all evidence of the patches.) Verify your functionality desired
works as expected again. If it does - pick one of the updates and install
that one update manually. Reboot, verify you still have functionality and
repeat until you no longer have the functionality you expect. Then you know
specificvally which update is messing with the integrity of your system.
