You guys are missing the point.
People install Firefox because it DOESN'T act like Internet Explorer which
they consider to be a very big security risk. They also install FF
extensions which limit scripting and other actions that provide a dangerious
browsing environment.
Microsoft didn't have a right to alter their software without notification
and the ability to opt out.
It's pretty aggregious behavior. It has the potential of alienating a large
community of people.
It should force security measures in the FireFox software that will prevent
that kind of behavior in the future because it shows FireFox to be vulnerable
to silent manipulation.
Not to mention, it's just bad PR.
You don't need to agree or disagree. Ask end-users how they feel about it.
