After installing SP2 & SP3 I didn't receive any error messages. The computer
hasn't been in hibernation or standby. Can I check for driver updates w/ no
keyboard? If so, how?????

Did you check for driver updates?

FYI - A Windows XP SP3-based computer loses wireless connectivity when it
resumes from standby or from hibernation, or you receive an error message
when you try to put the computer in standby or in hibernation
