Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Every time I go to install the sp2 sevice pack I get the same error message
that windows explorer encountered a problem and had to close. I rebooted my
comp and everything. What else can I do? I need to install this pack in order
to renew my antivirus.
