No it doesnt have a version tab for that file.

I tried the manual download just now for 64 bit and it said Fatal error on
the message box:

"Windows Update Agent Installer encountered unrecoverable error."

Any other suggestions?

Did you check the install log from it? Same error?
Then I guess I would try either getting a non-broken version
of the problem module or just rename it in hopes that the
install could complete normally and get your agent modules
updated. Also, I think you should start to suspect that you
might have malware on board which could have caused the
corruption in the first place.

BTW on my XPsp3 wuaueng.dll is also in System32\dllcache
In that case one way to fix the problem would be to do a sfc /scannow

Good luck

I think everything is heading to a normal update of the agent until this

2009-01-29 10:35:43:168 5464 1048 Setup FATAL: Failed to retrieve version
for C:\WINDOWS\SysWow64\wuaueng.dll, error: 0x80070715

<cmd_output OS="XPsp3">
E:\>set /a c = 0x715
1813
E:\>net helpmsg %c%

The specified resource type cannot be found in the image file.
</cmd_output>

So, does right-click Properties of that file have a Version tab?

I'm running Windows Server 2K3 and Windows updates havent worked at all.

Looks like it's 64 bit too? That probably makes a difference on which
agent update package you can install, especially if you try to pick one
and do it manually.
