You could contact support again quoting your ticket number.
In the meantime perhaps something here may help -

The caller passed an update with invalid metadata to the handler
Suggest you manually download the update -

Security update KB956390 was installed "successfully" on 10/15/2008.
However, it still appears on the Windows Update as a critical download.
It
has "failed" numerous times since 10/15/2008 according to the download
history. I uninstalled the 10/15/2008 installation and attempted to
download
it again from the Windows Update, but it fails each time. I wrote to
mssupport and tried what they told me to, at least as far as I could
UNDERSTAND their instructions. I wrote to them to tell them I did not
understand, but haven't heard anything more from them. Thanks to anyone
who
can help.
