Install/reinstall Windows Update Client

x86-based versions of Windows - download the WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe
package now.

Please see if installing the 3.0 client resolves the problem.

Cannot update my 32 bit vista machine. Haven't been able to update since
10/16/2008. My computer can't even search for updates. I get the error
code
80070005. I have tried updating manually and still get the error. I have
looked at other posts, and most linked articles are no longer valid.
Please
help. Haven't had a problem before this. My computer is relatively new.
Just purchased in August 2008.
